WDS linked repeaters using Chillifire router as Access Point

Status:

- Repeater firmware tested by Chillifire for WRT54GL, DIR-320, Asus wl520gU.

- Establish a wireless link between routers using WDS tested on TP-Link 1043ND, TP-Link 842ND, Picostaion 2HP, Picostaion M but applies to all routers running ChilliWRT version 12.x or higher

ChilliWRT version 12.x or higher 

All devices running ChilliWRT, Chillifire's, OpenWRT based firmware, running firmware version 12.x or higher should an approach to establish a wireless link between routers using WDS as described HERE 

 

For older Broadcom chipset based devices:

WRT54G/GL/GS:
Download Repeater Firmware for WRT54G/GL/GS
(Use this for initial install from original Linksys firmware or for subsequent TFTP uploads)

D-Link Dir320, Asus wl520gU, etc:
Download Repeater Firmware for other Broadcom routers
(Use this firmware for upgrade out of Chillifire or OpenWrt firmware)

Other devices using other native firmware:

The installation guide assumes you are using Chillifire firmware on the wireless repeater. However, you could link any router that supports WDS to a router running Chillifire as Access Point (being connected to the internet directly). This is a great way to get Chillifire up and running on routers which are not supported by either OpenWRT or DD-WRT. Some pointers how a third party repeater has to be configured is here
