The installation guide assumes you are using Chillifire firmware on the wireless repeater. However, you could link any router that supports WDS to a router running Chillifire as Access Point (being connected to the internet directly). This is a great way to get Chillifire up and running on routers which are not supported by either OpenWRT or DD-WRT.
